RESUME & BIo 

Giovanni Wubbena has been an actor in theatre and film for the last seventeen years. Now a recent Columbia College Chicago graduate, he has come a long way from playing Captain Hook in Junior productions of Peter Pan back home in Jackson, Missouri.

 

Giovanni recently had his Chicago debut, originating the role of Pal Vanderberg in The Darkroom District's inaugural production of Dive. He has also played George Gibbs in The GhostLight Theatre's 2026 production of Our Town, and Jeff in the feature film Dirty Towel, directed by Callie Carpinteri. In his college career, he notably played Oliver in Lemons, Lemons, Lemons Lemons Lemons, Old Man in The Chairs, and performed in Chicago's 2024 Rhinofest. In 2017, Giovanni performed in Southeast Missouri State University’s production of Big River and the following year began attending classes at The Second City.
